Vehicle Technician/Mechanic

Calex Automotive Recruitment are seeking an LVC or HGV Technician to join their client’s team at Glenside Commercials Fiat at Caerphilly Wales.

Location – Bedwas Industrial estate, Caerphilly, Wales CF83 8DW

Glenside Commercials are now the Main Distributor for IVECO and Fiat Professional commercial vehicles in South-East Wales. Their premises on Bedwas House Industrial Estate also features a purpose built showroom, workshops and ATF lane and provides support for our breakdown and call-out services.

If you’re a Level 3 qualified Technician / Mechanic, with experience in LVC or HGV servicing, maintenance and repairs, we’d love to speak to you!

Hours

• Monday to Friday 6:00am – 2:00pm and 2:00pm – 10:00pm alternating
• Saturdays 7:00am to 1:00pm (on a rota)

Salary

• £16.50 – £19 per hour (depending on your level and experience)

The role

Depending on your skill level and experience the role will involve:

• Utilising your technical knowledge to carry out services, repairs and maintenance, including minor and major mechanical work
• Complete electrical and engine repair work
• Meet and discuss the vehicle and repairs needed with the customer when necessary
• Using advanced diagnostic equipment to fault find
• Ability to complete a Vehicle Health Checks
• Keep work areas clean and tidy, organised and safe from hazards to health and safety

The ideal skills, qualifications and experience we’re looking for:

• Level 3 HGV or LVC Mechanic ideally with 3 years of experience
• Possess a positive, can-do attitude
• Have the passion and ability to deliver an outstanding customer experience
• Be enthusiastic, respectful and friendly to guests and colleagues
• Have an honest and diligent approach to work
• A full and valid UK Driving Licence is essential
