Vehicle Technician/MOT Tester

Calex Automotive Recruitment are seeking a Vehicle Technician/MOT Tester, to join their client’s team at Keith Price Peugeot Garage in Llanwenarth.

Location – Llanwenarth Citra Abergavenny Monmouthshire NP8 1EP

If you’re a Level 3 qualified Vehicle Technician with an MOT Licence, and ideally 3 years experience in car servicing, maintenance and MOT testing we’d love to speak to you!

You’ll be joining a fantastic, established team and be supported by a motivating and encouraging Service Manager.

Hours

• Monday to Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm
• Only 1 in 5 Saturday mornings!
• 40 Hour week

Salary

• Basic salary £31,500
• Plus bonus opportunities
• Giving OTE of £ £35,000

The role

Depending on your skill level and experience the role will involve:

• Utilising your technical knowledge to carry out services, repairs and maintenance on customer vehicles, including minor and major mechanical work
• Completing MOT Tests
• Meet and discuss the vehicle and repairs needed with the customer when necessary
• Carry out road tests of customer vehicles after work has been carried out
• Ability to complete a Vehicle Health Checks
• Keep work areas clean and tidy, organised and safe from hazards to health and safety

The ideal skills, qualifications and experience we’re looking for:

• Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent
• MOT Licence
• Ideally Hybrid / EV trained but if not training will be provided
• Car servicing and repair experience in either a main dealership, independent garage or other car servicing company
• Possess a positive, can-do attitude
• Have the passion and ability to deliver an outstanding customer experience
• Be enthusiastic, respectful and friendly to guests and colleagues
• Have an honest and diligent approach to work
• A full and valid UK Driving Licence is essential
